1Celebrating the 13th Anniversary, Industrial Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (TI-UB) is determined that the gait of the academic community in the field of education, research, and community service can be known more widely by “the outside world”.

This was conveyed by the Head of TI-UB Department Oyong Novareza, ST., MT., Ph.D in ”tasyakuran” as well as coordination meeting held at 6th Floor Auditorium TI-UB Building on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

“We want our gait better known in the outside world. This is our main priority in the future,” said Oyong in front of about 60 invitation consist of lecturers, staffs, and students.

One of the activities that have been prepared to support the program is The 3-in-1 Courses. In this program 1 course will be taught by 3 lecturers. One lecturer from internal TI-UB, one lecturer from industry practitioner, and one lecturer from overseas campus.

“The plan for our 3 in 1 program will invite lecturers from Malaysia and practitioners from one of manufacturing industry in Malang. We just need to execute. Hopefully there are no obstacles,” he explained.

In addition to The 3-in-1 Courses, TI-UB will organize international seminars and international competitions. International Seminar is planned to be held in 2019 while international competition will be held by the Student Association (HMTI) in the near future.

“We also encourage and facilitate students to improve achievements in various competitions. PKM event will also be our concern, “said the lecturer who once served as Head of Laboratory of Manufacturing System.

Improving the quality of human resources and infrastructure facilities did not escape from the attention of the department leaders. For human resources, Oyong expects more and more lecturers who will continue their studies.

“We should be grateful for the arrival of new professor since the beginning of the year which strengthens the ranks of lecturers in TI-UB” he added.

Oyong also said that his side has allocated funds to improve some infrastructure facilities in TI-UB building to comfortably teaching process and meet safety and security standards. (and)
